Guest Services & Facilities
Reception
For assistance, feel free to reach out to our reception via email or phone between 9 am and 5 pm. The reception will be open as necessary during housekeeping hours.

Internet Access
Free Wi-Fi is available to all guests staying at WLA.
Wi-Fi password is supplied with check-in info.
Phone Calls
Local and New Zealand landline calls starting with 03 443 and 0800 numbers are free. To dial landline numbers, start with the
area code (03).
Housekeeping
Apartments are serviced daily between 9 am-4 pm
unless your ‘do not disturb’ sign is displayed.
Please inform management of any preference regarding room servicing at check-in.
During a service, our housekeeping team:
*Top-up consumable items
*Replace used towels
*Wipe the basin and mirror
*Make beds
*Take out rubbish
*Wash dishes
Note: Please leave used towels on the floor or in your bath if you need them replaced.
Note: Please remove all items off your bed if you would like your bed to be made.
Mid-stay Services
This takes place after the fourth night stay, and this will be a full service of the unit.
Parking
Free off-street parking is available for all guests.
Some two- and three-bedroom apartments have garages parking. This is available on request before booking only. Please do not block the garage if you are not staying in either two- or three-bedroom apartments.
Checkout Time
10am is the checkout time.
Late checkout can be arranged the day prior to checkout, please be mindful that this is not always possible.
Tour Desk
Visit our reception to learn about the area and book all your Wanaka activities.
Laundry Services
We have laundry service for the One-bedroom apartments guests only. One free load per week per guest. Please drop laundry off at reception between 9am and 3pm.
Late Check-in
No need for a formal check-in process. Your payment will be automatically processed on the day of your arrival. If, for some reason, this hasn't been completed, we can facilitate contactless payment via email or phone.
Payment
Payment must be made before arrival. This can be done via credit card on file, over the phone or at the reception.

Outdoor Pool and Spa
Open hours
9am to 9.30pm (winter)
9am to 10pm (summer)
Spa operates year-round.
The swimming pool operates from December to April.
Pool gate has a password, supplied on check-in.
Please keep noise to a minimum.
All children under 14 years must be supervised.
by a parent/guardian.
Please shower before using these facilities.
There is no lifeguard on duty at any time.
Please replace the spa cover after use.
Ensure pool gates always remain closed and locked.
Luggage Store
We have storage available for luggage.
Please enquire at reception.
Dishwasher
Dishwasher machines are available in two and three bedrooms only. Please ensure the dishes are dried before placing them back in the cupboard.
Coffee Machine
Only two- and three-bedroom apartments have coffee machines. Water and beans are inside the machine already.
To use the machine:
*Turn the large left knob to 2 o’clock.
*Place the cup under the dispenser.
*Wait one minute until the machine is ready,
then press enter.
*Press the small, medium, or large shot button.
(For stronger coffee press the small button).
*Froth milk with metal flask using the steamer, you will find the steamer knob on the right side.
* Please be careful the steamer is hot!
Please be courteous.
At all times keep noise to a minimum. There is a minimum $100 fine for disturbing other guests.
Please keep our apartments in a reasonable condition.
Please be mindful not to mark walls with suitcases and other equipment.
Smoking
All our apartments are smoke free.
Please be mindful of other guests when smoking outside. Cigarette butts can be deposed appropriately in ash cups placed on the outside patio, not in the garden or inside apartment rubbish bins.
There is a minimum $500 fine for smoking in our apartments and $100 fine for leaving butts in gardens and driveway.
Keys
Please remember to take your keys and lock your apartment before leaving.
TV Operation
Your TV has over 50+ channels of Sky/satellite TV. Turn on your TV with the main remote. To change the channel point the Sky remote at the Sky decoder.
Some TV’ are smart and you can play your favorite steaming services.
Heating
Our gas fires provide ambient heat.
Lighting Instructions are on next page.
Electric wall heaters are the main source of heat in the units. To use, please check wall heater has the wall & side switch on and the thermostat on high.
Cooling
If the temperature in the apartment becomes too hot please open windows to let the fresh mountain air in. Pull sun-facing curtains closed to keep the room cool.
Guest Services & Information
Ski Gear
Skis & snowboards can be dried and stored at the entrance of your apartment. If you have a garage, please store your boards and skis there.
Night Life
Wanaka has a wide variety of pubs and restaurants. Enquire with reception.
Emergency Services
To contact Fire, Police and Ambulance please dial 111.
Assembly Point
In the case of an evacuation, guests are to assemble on the corner by the reception.
Gas Fire Operation
Lighting the fire can be difficult.
To use the gas fire:
*Remove metal cover over the gas controls.
*Press and turn the gas knob to 11 o’clock.
*Keep holding the knob for 10 seconds then turn to spark, keep pressing with the pilot light on for 20 seconds and turn knob to 9 o’clock.
*If this didn’t ignite the gas burner then repeat.
Note: Removing soot from the sparker can help ignition, by lightly brushing with finger.
Please contact us if you need help to start the fire.
Gas Fire Safety
For safety reasons, do not leave the gas fire unattended or lit overnight.
*Please do not place scrap paper or any other items in the fire or move the logs and rocks in the gas fires.
Gas Surcharge
Please remember to turn off the gas fire when going out or overnight there will be an extra charge for excessive use. Hot water and cooking facilities are powered by gas.
Energy Consumption Wanaka & Sustainability
We support ‘Sustainable Wanaka’ and are always keen to minimize energy wastage from a conservation perspective. We hope you share this view & will do your part during your stay with us.
You can help by:
*Turning off all lights, appliances and the gas fire when you leave the unit.
*Using a mid-setting for the under-floor heating, which is more than sufficient.
Green Wanaka
Reduce your carbon footprint, (weather permitting and appropriately dressed) enjoy the short walk into town from the apartments and take in the beautiful view along the lake front.
Recycling
Wheelie bins are located beside the garage of each building for general waste and recyclables.
We endeavour to minimise energy wastage from a conservation perspective, we kindly request that any towels that you wish to reuse are hung on the heated towel rails provided.
Alternatively, if you would like a change of towels, please place used towels in a pile on the floor or in the shower/ bath tub prior to servicing that day.
